The HPA is a National Professional Group within the Health Sector of Unite (Amicus). It is organised into twelve Regional Groups consistent with the English Regional Development Agency boundaries and the three devolved administrations as follows:

3	East Midlands	Derbys, Leices, Lincs, Northants and Nottingham
4	East of England	Beds, Cambs,Essex, Herts, Norfolk and Suffolk
5	London
6	South East	Berks, Bucks, Hants, Kent, Oxforshire, Surrey, Sussex and Isle of Wight
7	South West	Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucs, Somerset, Wiltshire and Avon
8	West Midlands	Shrops, Staffs, Herefs, Warcs, Worcs, Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton
9	North West	Cumbria, Cheshire, Lancs, Greater Manchester, and the Wirral
