Study Award 2009 / 10

The HPA is pleased to announce that applications for the 2009/10 Travel / Study awards are now open.

HPA members (scientists and technologists) are encouraged to apply for awards up to £500 in value in writing by 1st October 2009 for study activities which must be completed by 31st October 2010. The award may be used to fund in full or in part any activity that the applicant successfully proves to the adjudicating panel will benefit their professional development.

The award will be judged by an independent panel and will score the following criteria

1. Value added to the applicants professional development.

2. Value added to the work of the local department

3. Value added to the work of the visited department (if applicable)

4. Value added to the medical physics community in the UK, in developing countries and beyond.

 

The successful winner of the award will be announced at the annual conference in London on 20th November 2009.

 

Applications should be forwarded to tony.millin@velindre-tr.wales.nhs.uk by 1st October in word or pdf format containing no more than 1000 words describing the proposed programme of study / travel and its benefits.
